INEGI'S CONTRIBUTION

To develop and implement the actuation block of the exoprosthesis
Implementation of sensors onto exoprosthesis palm and fingers
Test the functionality of exoprosthesis’ mechanical structure
Support in establishing the testing protocol for the mechanical properties of the materials of exoskeletons and their experimental validation
Support for mounting the entire connectivity (wires and electronic components) in the mechanical structure of the exoskeletons
Assembling and testing the sensors arrays and feedback interfaces of the exoskeletons and also test the mechatronic structures functionality

RESULTS/IMPACT

To transform the lives of individuals with amputated or paralyzed limbs
Bidirectional communication will allow unprecedented neural control of both prosthetics and paralyzed limbs
Significant advancement in medical applications
