INEGI's competencies in lubricant analysis highlighted in TECNOMETAL magazine
07 November 2019
In an
article published in the technical-scientific journal TECNOMETAL - available
HERE - a group of INEGI's experts addressed the importance of lubricant
analysis for a predictive industrial maintenance strategy with profitable
results, not only financially but also for production, quality and the
environment.
The work focuses on the most common errors in the implementation of lubricant analysis programs that, when properly implemented, play an important role in premature failure detection and identification, preventing equipment damage and consequent high repair costs and operational downtime. Inadequate analysis intervals, incorrect sampling, and misinterpretation of results are some of the problems noted as frequent. In turn, the study of the state of lubricants is also named as an important vector for making informed decisions.
