INEGI consultant joins WIND EUROPE committee and sets agenda for debate on end of life of wind turbines

Filipa Magalhães, INEGI consultant in the area of ​​wind energy, was invited for the 3rd consecutive time to join the support committee for the seminar program "EoLIS - End-of-Life Issues and Strategies", promoted by the Wind Europe association.

EoLIS 2021 will take place in Brussels, with simultaneous online broadcast, between November 4th and 5th 2021. It will bring together the wind sector community – industry, investors, companies, academia and research institutions – to discuss the imminent end of life of a significant part of Europe's wind turbine fleet. Topics such as the regulatory system, the state of the markets, and the circularity of the sector will be on the table.

Filipa Magalhães, who was also a member of the organizing committee in 2019 and 2020, points out that "events of this nature are increasingly important, at a time when the European Commission is focusing on the preparation of proposals with the aim of reducing greenhouse gases emissions".

For the consultant, "the wind energy sector plays an increasingly important role in the paradigm shift and all solutions must be on the table."
