INEGI collaborates with European university alliance to address urgent and global health challenges

22 April 2022
Addressing urgent and global public health challenges requires coordinated efforts, robust partnerships and common goals. This is why INEGI joined, through the University of Porto, the European University Alliance for Global Health.

INEGI has competitive capabilities in the field of biomechanics, combined with mechanical engineering, working in the health and sports sector. It will therefore play an important role in the identification of good practices in the area of innovation, and facilitate the valorization and transfer of scientific knowledge.

This alliance is born from a project approved by the European Commission, and has a budget of 2 million euros to strengthen cooperation and to establish the foundations of a common European space related to health.

The objective is to contribute to face the challenges of Global Health, creating adequate conditions for the development of research and innovation activity, and training future generations of researchers, professionals, specialists and European leaders to serve all sectors of society.

The Transformation through Joint Research and Innovation Action (EUGLOHRIA) project is co-funded under the "SwafS - Science with and for Society" of Horizon 2020, the European Union's research and innovation programme.
