Beyond its Human Resources, INEGI holds a comprehensive group of many other resources to support its activities, namely laboratories for experimental work, workshops for components and pre-series development, and a vast collection of informatic tools fundamental for engineering design such as, CAD3D (Computer Aided Design), which is in fact a essential tool in the field of Mechanical Engineering and available in each one of the working posts, CAE (Computer Aided Engineering), structural simulation tools, IDEIAS, COSMOS, ABACUS, etc, and processes simulation, PROCAST (Casting).
