The reliability, performance and efficiency of industrial equipment depends largely on their correct lubrication. Lubrication that minimizes the wear and tear that inevitably occurs between moving surfaces can prevent damage and breakdown, and consequently prevent unplanned interventions, production losses and related costs.
From thus emerges the growing need to equip the technicians responsible for maintaining this equipment with the right skills
so that they can act on time.
In this sense, the program aims to highlight the importance of lubricant analysis in monitoring the condition of equipment
, allowing companies to have better control of their production lines. Services and technologies available on the market will also be addressed, both for lubricant analysis and testing and for the implementation of equipment condition monitoring programs.
“In addition to highlighting the role of lubricants as a critical factor in industrial maintenance operations, we intend to help companies adopt optimized and effective practices in this field”, explains Jorge Seabra, lecturer and Director of INEGIs Tribology, Vibration and Industrial Maintenance area. “The training program builds on INEGIs 25 years of experience in the fields of science and technology related to friction, lubrication and wear, and therefore meets the real needs of the industry,” he adds.
