From 25 to 27 September INEGI will participate in the International Sustainable Ocean Conference (ISOC 2019)
, an event co-organized by the University of Coimbra.
Figueira da Foz’s Centro de Artes e Espetáculos will host plenary sessions, workshops, networking activities and exhibitions, under the theme “Adaptation to Climate Change: Environmental, Social and Economic Challenges of the 21st Century”.
José Carlos Matos, director of INEGIs wind energy area, will be a speaker on the panel occurring on second day of the conference dedicated to the theme “Building structures for renewable energy. What Future?"
. Moderated by Carlos Rebelo, from the University of Coimbra, the debate will also include José Lopes de Almeida (CODIS CBR), António Sarmento (WavEC Offshore Renewables), and Teresa Simões Esteves (LNEG).
According to the organization, more than 100 participants are expected to analyze state-of-the-art, present scientific discoveries and technology solutions for climate change adaptation, discuss their risks and impacts, and also identify new business opportunities and sustainable economic growth.
