Fulfilling its mission to contribute to the development of industry and the economy in general, through scientific and technological innovation, INEGI created the INEGI Industry Forum. The initiative will be held periodically and has already had its first edition, dedicated to the Automotive sector.
The goal is to strengthen and deepen relationships with companies, through collaborative dynamics, in a long-term strategic logic. "We aim to raise awareness of INEGIs capabilities, listen to companies about their needs in terms of innovation and technological support, while fostering an open channel for permanent interaction," says José Sampaio, INEGIs Director of Innovation and Technology Transfer.
The first edition of the Industry Forum took place in the last quarter of 2018 and focused on manufacturers of automotive components and subsystems. Among those present were automobile companies, as well as their corresponding clusters. "We believe it was a very productive work session, with useful conclusions for a better understanding of the technological and innovation challenges they face today, as well as the technological offer that has to be developed," adds INEGI’s Director of Innovation and Technology Transfer.
