The clean room was designed and built for classification 10K, ISO 7. The space of 26m2, has a mixed flow of clean air, filtered with high efficiency HEPA to remove particles larger than 5 microns. On air insufflations by the ceiling, two filters were placed before the central swirl diffusers and four filters with grids at the bottom for extraction.

The Information Systems Group from INEGI Industrial and Management Unit developed a modular system for conferences organization support without the need of human intervention. The system is able to do operations such as papers submission, payments or submission of presentations in power point as many other options.

First prize for INEGI researchers article
The article “Biomechanics of biomaterials used in soft tissue regenerative medicine” got the “Primer Premio a la Mejor Comunicación del XXXI Simposio de la Sociedad Ibérica de Biomecánica y Biomateriales”, that took place in Barcelona between 17th and 19th September 2008.
The article was published in the issue 17(1), June 2009, of the journal Biomecánica.

João Tavares, researcher at the Optical and Experimental Mechanics Lab of INEGI, was nominated chief publisher of the International Journal of Biometrics and Bioinformatics (IJBB) for the next three years.
