  • Management and development of innovative approaches to industrial symbiosis based on the assumptions of the circular economy, eco-efficiency and industrial sustainability. SymbioSPOTS is a key result for assessment of hot-spots of wastes and mapping and routing of symbiotic transactions and valorization of new products and services (circular economy oriented) 
  • Development of new monitoring technologies with the introduction of new monitoring concepts for cereals (smart-objects) 

Results/Impact
  • Valuing wheat by-products, namely bran and germ and waste generated during storage, the cereal powder
  • New types of functional granules for human consumption, based on bran and germ and combined with other by-products or natural resources with high nutritional value
  • New types of functional pellets, for animal consumption, with prolonged stability, based on bran and cereal powder generated in silos
  • Development of innovative approaches to industrial symbiosis based on the assumptions of the circular economy, eco-efficiency and industrial sustainability
  • Articulation of Industrial Symbiosis with Circular Business Models
  • Innovative sensor technology, by Smart-Objects, in a silo environment (Wireless communication and designed for ATEX)
