Training in "Advanced Joining Processes" is back to respond to the needs of a changing industry
13 January 2022From the introduction of new and innovative materials, to growing environmental concerns - the industry is changing, and the demand for qualified professionals to face new challenges is a reality. In this context, INEGI is now launching a new edition of the advanced training program dedicated to the latest trends in the area of advanced joining processes.
The "Advanced Joining Processes" course will run from April 6th to 29th 2022, and registration is now open. The course will be taught in English, online and in a livestream format.
The course brings together a team of specialised instructors, with extensive scientific and practical experience, and internationally recognized. Among them is Lucas da Silva, responsible for the Advanced Bonding Processes area at INEGI, and coordinator of this course, who explains: "the main objective is to train professionals capable of facing the new challenges of the industry, arising from the current market demands, always oriented towards a circular economy and attentive to environmental needs”.
The course will enable students to have an integrated view of the state-of-the-art vanguard, existing methods and new possibilities under study, and implementation and analysis techniques. Welding, mechanical joints, deformation-assisted joints, and adhesive joints are some of the techniques covered during the program.
The joining of components is a transversal necessity in industry, with application in products for cutting-edge sectors such as automotive and aeronautics, as well as in more traditional sectors such as electronics and furniture. It is an area of engineering that has been gaining relevance, as it is crucial in the performance and reduction of the weight of structures, thus reducing its environmental impact.
