Industrial Hydrogen sector will be the protagonist of a webinar organized by INEGI

29 November 2021
"The Industrial Sector of Hydrogen” is the motto of the webinar (to be carried out in portuguese) promoted by INEGI on December 9th, and which will count with the presence of several specialists from the Institute, associations and representatives of the national industry. Discover the program and find out how to sign up, HERE.

The objective is to analyze the issues surrounding the Portuguese position in the field of energy transition, namely in one of the key vectors for decarbonization – hydrogen.

Will Portugal be able to adopt a model similar to that of the wind energy sector for the hydrogen value chain and create a dedicated industrial cluster? What tools, technologies and components will be needed to develop the hydrogen value chain? How to go beyond the production, storage, distribution and use of hydrogen, and create an industry for the production of tools and equipment to support this vector?

These are some of the questions on the table, in a debate that brings together, among others, Aníbal Fernandes, from the ENEOP Wind Cluster, Nuno Ribeiro da Silva from Endesa, Hugo Campelo from Efacec, Manuel Costeira da Rocha from Smartenergy, Paulo Gonçalo from Ultimate Power , Pedro Ribeiro from Amtrol-Alfa, and Pedro Castro from AIMMAP.

On behalf of INEGI, and guiding the session, Rui Sá, director of Consulting and Services, Zenaida Mourão, director of the energy area, and Ricardo Barbosa, coordinator of the same area, and José Carlos Matos, director of the wind energy area will be present.

This initiative, free with mandatory registration, is aimed at professionals interested in acquiring knowledge in this area, enhancing their intervention in the ongoing energy transition. It is promoted by INEGI with the support of Smartenergy, and is part of INEGI's Advanced Training Program dedicated to Hydrogen Technologies.
