Development of agricultural support post in metal for CARMO

With the support of INEGI, CARMO developed for the first time an agricultural support made in metal for vines. INEGI met the challenges posed by the company, having studied the development and analysis of new concepts for the product, considering factors such as the connection to the guide wires and the manual or mechanically assisted pruning of the grapes.

The team also carried out an extensive analysis of the influence of the weight of the grapes on the structure of the posts. Several structural simulations were carried out, which allowed the development of a product with greater mechanical resistance.

With the contribution of INEGI, CARMO, which until then only offered solutions in wood, increased its range of products with a solution oriented to countries that traditionally use metal poles.
