Associates General Meeting: Annual Report and Activity Plan Approved
29 March 2022INEGI's General Assembly met today, March 29th, and unanimously approved the 2021 Annual Report, as well as the Activities Plan and Budget for 2022.
Alcibíades Paulo Guedes, chairman of the Board of Directors, stated that "2021 was strongly conditioned by successive waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, which required a greater focus on short-term management, in order to systematically adapt the operating conditions. Despite this turbulent context, it was possible to grow significantly and recover from the contraction suffered in 2020”.
Among the highlights of the year is the 16% growth compared to 2020, with turnover reaching 12.1 M EUR. Also noteworthy was the 11.5% growth in terms of human resources, with 272 employees on staff (240 hired staff and 32 research fellows) at the end of the year.
Among the milestones of 2021, there was also significant progress in the execution of the various axes of INEGI's strategic development program, the participation in 24 projects/agendas that advanced to the 2nd stage of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), the renewal of the status of Associate Laboratory of LAETA, the continuation of the implementation path of INEGI Alentejo, the holding of another edition of the IN Conference INEGI, and the integration into new national and international collaborative networks.
